For the first two weeks after transplanting, roots haven’t yet colonized the whole bed. Using the 4 drip tapes will result in flushing nutrients in the watershed.
So, plant in the middle of the 4 drip tapes, and open only the two middle ones.
Two weeks after transplanting, open the 2 outer drip tapes for the rest of the season.
⚠️ Caution
When you close two drip tapes, you need to double the duration of each irrigation, to give the same amount of water.
If you would have given 4 min per irrigation, increase it to 8 min.
